Autumn Retreat at the Old Homestead

This past weekend, our small group retreated in western Massachusetts at "The Old Homestead".  The house and farm belongs to our friend Liz' family and this is our second trip to this cozy home in the country.

We explored the house and barn, romped around the woods, waded through the "crik", slept under old quilts, played games, told stories, ate blueberry buckle, beef stew and apple pie, relaxed hard, laughed harder, had sweet fellowship, studied scripture and wore bright orange handmade hats.

I am so thankful for this precious group of brothers and sister and Christ..

  1. Oh, those photos just make me ACHE for our little house in Gorham, Maine. We had a "crik," too...

Autumn in New England is unparalleled for beauty. I love California, but I will always miss Autumn.

Stopping by from Tuesdays Unwrapped! Nice to find another Yankee blog to admire! And remember..
