Camping Moments

Last weekend, Brian and I joined my family (plus Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle and cousins) for our annual camping trip.  For the past few years we've camped at Sebago Lake in Maine.  It's always a wonderful time of relaxation, beach, campfires, games and lots of good family time.  We wouldn't miss it for the world. We're so thankful for this sweet time together.

Here are a few shots from the weekend...

(my basic camping plans were encompassed in my yarn basket:
reading, crocheting, knitting, relaxing)

We cooked everything over the camp fire..mmm

Loving hammock time..

Lake side "Settlers of Catan" with the siblings and cousins..

some of the best times camping is gathered around the fire...

Katie gave Matt a haircut (?)

so much time to relax and read...

Kimmie was working on some anklets...

we camped to the sweet guitar tunes of Brian James..

Grandma and Grandpa enjoying their grandchildren and their glow-stick crowns..

Katie and her boyfriend, Matt

Cousin Jenny, Mom and Uncle Charlie

Dad enjoying some camp food..

Aunt Wendy and cousin Randy around the campfire...

mmmmm...

My always studious husband reading for his "Russian Lit" class...

lots of water time...

lots of sun time...

I wished I biked more often...

off to get some ice cream...

beauty.

the best part.

  1. Kerrie, that does look like an amazing weekend! I hope Maine is just as good. It's fun to see what you are reading; "I Capture the Castle" is one of my favorite books. And we should go biking together sometime.

  2. I'm reading enjoying the book, too! About half way though.... I'd love a bike ride! My parents are actually dropping off my bike this week. :)
