The James Journals: 1st Edition

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Brian and I have started watercolor painting together.  We're calling this project "The James Journals, Volume 1". Ok, I am. (Brian's not as much of a fan of alliteration...he calls them "those-awesome-journals-that-we-paint-in-together")

After we bought those coveted watercolor journals on our vacation in Maine, we wanted to use our materials as soon as possible. We had planned to walk down to the harbor to paint Penobscot Bay, but it was raining that night, so we scavenged our room at the bed and breakfast for something to paint indoors. We quickly found a basket full of sea shells and set these up against my pink nightgown as our first subject.

Here are our first set of "his" and "hers" paintings.

    They are both so beautiful in their own unique way! It's fascinating to see two perspectives of the same thing! Very neat :)
