Granny-Square Scarf

I was recently inspired by this post at Wise Craft. I loved the original, yet vintage nature of these granny-square scarfs. I decided to make my own version for my Mom-in-law's birthday gift.

First, I chose some flattering colors (she always looks beautiful in purple!). I crocheted about 14 granny squares (here's a great tutorial), sewed them together, then added a scalloped border. Simple!

I think it looks so lovely on her!

  1. Beautiful job, Kerrie! My daughter-in-law Michelle has knitted quite a few items for me, and they'll always be treasured because she made them.

  2. Nice job, Kerrie! I wish I knew how to do the yarn crafts.
BTW, Brian looks so much like his mom! Fun to see.

  3. Oh, I love this! I have a shameless addiction to scarves, so I'm passing on this idea to my mom, who's my knitter. She's gonna love you. ;)
