A Wedding Gift

I'm back from Canada and had a fantastic time! I will share as soon as I get a chance to unpack and put my life back together. :)

For now, I'll share one of the projects I worked on for the wedding. I decided to make a name plaque for a wedding gift. They are a rugged, outdoorsy couple who love to climb mountains. They live in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, so I thought an outdoor motif would be most suitable.

I bought a wooden plaque at A.C. Moore and painted their name and some simple mountain images.  I varnished the plaque to finish it off. I'm pleased with how it turned out and I hope it will find a cozy and welcoming place to live in their new home.
