You give and take away...

Well friends, on Wednesday I went in for a fetal heart check and they couldn't find it on the doppler. On Thursday morning we had an ultrasound which confirmed that our baby had passed away.

If you think of it, pray for me today.  I'm having a D&C at noon because the doctor was afraid that because I was so far along that I might hemorrhage and need to go to the ER if I miscarried naturally.  I've never had surgery, so I'm a bit nervous.  I'd appreciate your prayers for me and Brian today. We are going to be doing a good amount of tests after this is over, as the doctor said that it isn't common to have 2 late miscarriage (right around the same time), especially considering that we knew that this baby was healthy with a strong heartbeat only a couple of weeks ago.

It's been a tough week. We are heartbroken, but not without hope.

"Blessed be the name of the Lord,
blessed be your glorious name...

You give and take away,
but my heart will choose to say
Blessed be your name! "

-Matt Redman (and Job)

  1. I stopped by to see your moment, certainly not expecting this. I'm so sorry you've lost this baby. I can't even imagine what you must be feeling right now. My heart is with you. It's easy to say, but harder to understand, but your time will come, and it will be perfect and everything you dreamed..until then, here's hoping the tests prove to give you some answers and you can heal from this.

    lots of love to you!

  2. Oh Kerrie, my heart aches for you and Brian! I'm so SO sorry about this loss. You will be in my prayers. *BEARHUGS*

  3. You have my tears and my prayers.oxo

  4. I will pray for all of you. I had a miscarriage but I did not even know I was pregnant, and yet I grieved when I found out. I cannot imagine how hard it must be for you. I will ask Him for comfort for you.

  5. Dear Kerrie, Pj and I are so heartbroken for you both and we pray that God would bring you peace. There are so many things I want to say to comfort you and yet I know only God can. Please know that we are always here for you. Lots of love and big hugs.

  6. Kerrie,

my thoughts and prayers are with you both~

  7. Kerrie,
I just now saw this and I'm so so so sorry for you and Brian. I will pray for you and your sorrow.
    Love love to you,

  8. Stay strong. It's hard to see your smile turn into a frown. I love you!

  9. I've bee here a few times (as you may have noticed) trying to find words to leave you. Well, they never came. All I can feel is heartbreak for you. And I find myself asking why. And I'm not sure that my words will help you, but I'm pleading with God to give you the desire of your heart.

My grand mother had a very similar experience, and though, heartbreaking, ended in joy with her two happy and healthy sons. Some things just "are", or at least that's what I believe. Maybe there was a reason, or maybe heartache is just a result of this broken world we live in. Ether way I hurts and either way I feel joyous that you know the comforter.

Though we've never met I love you with the love of Jesus and pray for you and your husband!

  10. Thank you everyone for your sweet notes. They mean a lot to me. We are doing well, just very sad right now. :) Thank you for showing Christ's love to me during these tough days. :)
