Gone with the Wind Silhouette

A little something for Nana, on her birthday..

A page photocopied (on parchment paper) from her very favorite book, Gone With the Wind,
a pencil drawing of a silhouette inspired by this movie poster,
painted in with black with ink pens, some thick, some fine
matted and framed.

  1. What a really lovely present.

I am just starting to draw up my Christmas present lists. 100% hand made again this year, apart from my sister and niece, although this gives me an idea. A silhouette of my great niece.....

Thank you for such a heart warming blog. It is so lovely to see your young man grow up in such a happy and loving family. I personally feel very honoured to glimpse that.

  3. Whenever they got to that scene where Scarlet is in silhouette with the deep amber sunset sky behind her and she vows "As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again. No nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, cheat, steal, or kill, I'll never be hungry again!" and the music swells, I always thought "that was a good movie" (because I thought that scene was the end). It's only about half way through!

Glad my favorite blogess is back from vaca :-)
