Tag-Ball Beauty

Yesterday at school, my boys were gearing up to play "tag-ball", their recent game of choice that seems to be a cross between tag and dodgeball.  We quickly realized that our "tag ball" court has been over run with a large ice flow. My quick thinking and industrious young men didn't miss a beat.  They thought of a great way of creating a new boundary line.

Chunks of ice were gathered and carefully placed in a line down our hill.

The afternoon sun lit this artful sculpture from behind. A beautiful line of glowing ice; it was quite spectacular! Perhaps next week I'll teach the boys about one of my favorite environmental/modern artists, Andy Goldsworthy.  Check this out.
