The Easter Garden

Last year we made our first Easter garden (idea originally from this post at A Holy Experience).  I love having art, objects and symbols around as reminders of the seasons; especially during Lent.  So, I decided to continue the tradition this year. In addition to its meaning, it's also nice to have some fresh plants around to usher in the spring.

I cleaned out last year's pot and bought a few small indoor plants.  One of these days, I want to make a tomb with a real opening, but I didn't get to it this year, so I used my old one. I found some small pebbles for a path and I ended up using the same handmade stick and wire cross.

This year's garden...

  3. Thanks Phyllis! I remember seeing the mustard seed one...I think I will make one. We're going away this weekend, but I'm hoping I can make one before Easter! Thanks for sending these links. :)
