A Day at the Fair

In these parts, there isn't much that is more "October" than going to the Topsfield Fair.  I was able to go twice this year. Once with my students and then again this past weekend with Brian and some friends. Highlights included hatching chicks, racing pigs and ducks, baby bunnies, prize winning dahlias, horses and cattle, cotton candy, fried dough and New England's largest pumpkin.

Here is a small smattering of photos from the fair this year...

Well , there you have it.

We went to yet another country fair on Sunday in New Hampshire with my in-laws. More on that, later! (I hope you're not all fair-ed out quite yet!)

  2. SO cute! I'm very jealous of your fair action- it looks like it was such a lovely time!! We're doing well here- but so, so busy- 2 days until we head back to Texas for a week, so no fairs for me (though we went apple picking at least!)
