“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy,
and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”
— William Arthur Ward
This week, I'm thankful for:
- Brian, selflessly and cheerfully doing lots of extra chores
- more time than I thought to rest and prepare
- ending up sharing a birthday month with my baby
- bengay
- frequent hugs
- "American Picker" episodes and the characters therein
- new books and Irish booties from Aunt Ariel
- newly painted stairs
- Brian's ingenuity and hard work to fix the potato-skin-clogged, kitchen sink (oops!)
- patience, most of the time.
It's hard to wait! If you can, try to rest and enjoy the time. My four were born two weeks before my due date, and with each I felt as if I didn't have time enough to prepare. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I both share May birthdays!
Best wishes!!
