I am thankful that I'm incapable
Of doing any good on my own...
'Cause by grace I have been saved
Through faith that's not my own
It is a gift of God and not by works...
-Caedmon's Call "Thankful"
Giving thanks this week, for -
- my incapability and God's grace
- summer days
- naps
- to-do list checking
- Brian's care
- baby stretches
- my first week as a stay-at-home mom-to-be). :)
- successful VBS decorating and all of my wonderful helpers
- a visit from blog fans from Arizona! (they recognized our house while walking around Salem and decided to ring the doorbell...what a fun and surprising treat!)
What a lovely blog (I came by way of Ann's)...old houses are so special, aren't they? I wish you all the best with your coming arrival - what an exciting time for you.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
I don't know if I would have the courage to ring the bell! What fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Deborah!
ReplyDeleteErin, I know, me neither!!
Kerrie...
ReplyDeleteWe actually didn't just recognize the house and decide to ring the bell...if only! I'd remembered seeing your address before on the blog and decided to try to look it up when we found out we were going to Salem. I thought it'd be fun to walk by and take a picture out front. My brothers and sister, however, decided that they were definitely ringing the bell and went so far as to make movies that day at Red's Sandwich Shop pretending to be you inviting us to come...so as to convince me. I'm glad we did though :) Thanks for that thrilling little Sea Kettle Adventure! Rest assured that pretty much every one of our relatives heard about it that next week. Anyways, thanks again to you and Brian for humoring us!
Heidi...Ooooh, that makes more sense. I mean, not that tourists don't walk down our street a lot, but that would have been quite a coincidence! I'm glad you did stop by, though. It was a lot of fun to meet you! :)
